The Role of Buddhism in Advancing Low-Carbon Communities and Responding to Climate Change, Bangkok, Thailand

The dialogue and training programme that raise awareness and promote knowledge in dealing with environmental issues, particularly air pollution, for Buddhist monks, members of governmental and non-governmental organisations and local communities. The programme was the collaboration of IBHAP Foundation with Thammasat University, Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Wat Saket and many other organisations.

KAICIID Dialogue Cities Southeast Asia Conference, Bangkok, Thailand

In collaboration with our volunteers, IBHAP Foundation co-hosted the first KAICIID Dialogue Cities Southeast Asia Conference. The event brought together religious leaders, policymakers, scholars, and youth from five Southeast Asian cities, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Davao, and Singapore, providing a regional platform for interreligious and intercultural dialogue and collaboration on peace and development

The dialogue to raise awareness and promote understanding regarding peoples with disabilities, it was part of the fundraising event to support the renovation of facility rooms of the Foundation for Children with Disabilities (FCD).

Candle-Light Triple Circumambulation Enhancing Nature-based Solution

Replacing candles with trees in the Buddhist Ceremony, Candle-Light Triple Circumambulation, is one of our environmental efforts to enhance the translation of the global policy, Nature-based Solution (NbS) into local actions, by leveraging the value of Buddhism as social capital in raising awareness, inducing behavioral change and mobilising collective action. This initiative was originally created by the Tree for Dhamma Foundation. It is part of their MOU with other 17 organisations.
